Megan Pifer is a singer/songwriter and worship leader for her local church body in Columbia, SC. Originally from New Zealand, Megan moved stateside in 2000, met and married a southern boy in '03, and together they are raising their three daughters. Megan began playing the piano around the age of eleven, wrote her first song for an assignment in middle school and has had a love of putting words to music to convey her heart’s cry ever since. Megan’s story took a poignant turn when she entered motherhood as she started down a path marked with uncertainty, pain, and loss, but was ultimately ushered into a season of learning to wholly trust a sovereign and faithful God. This journey became the undercurrent of her music, overshadowed by the abundant grace and goodness of her Lord and Savior, and ignited in her a deep longing to see God’s people rise up and worship the One who creates beauty out of ashes and is worthy of all praise, regardless of circumstances. Although Megan’s current days are naturally consumed with family life, she still enjoys carving out time to point worshipers to Christ and sharing her heart and music at women’s events, retreats and conferences. Megan worked alongside acclaimed local producer/engineer, Cory Plaugh, to record and produce her debut album, 'Lest We Forget', based on Deut 4:4,9, released October 2017, followed by her sophomore album ‘Holding Out’ based on John 10:10, released May 2019.
